Playdough Fun! The best playdough recipes.
Everyone has their favourite playdough recipes. These are a few of the tried and true recipes I have found over the years of working in child care and preschool.

Juice Playdough
1 1/4 cups flour
1/4 cup salt
102 pkgs. of juice crystals (e.g.. Kool aid)
3/4 cup boiling water
*Mix all ingredients together. Knead, Coll in fridge and knead again. Store in air tight container.
Cooked Playdough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 cup water
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 pkg. juice mix or a few drops food color
2 drops dish soap
*Cook all ingredients together in a pot until thick. Works best in a double boiler. When done remove from heat and add a couple of drops of dish soap. Store in an air tight container.

Baby Oil Playdough
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup baby powder
1/4 cup salt
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 Tbsp. baby oil
3/4 cup water
a few drops of food color.
*Mix all the dry ingredients. Then mix in oil, water and food color. Cook in a double boiler for a few minutes. Stir constantly until a ball forms. You can add drops of water if needed.
Playdough can be such a fun activity for all ages. I find even my teenagers will come to the table and play on a rainy day.
